I hate that bloody fucking stupid tree so much! Who gives a shite about the stupid squid? That ruddy ridiculous whomping willow is a thousand times more dangerous! The hospital wing! The stupid fucking hospital wing! That's where my friend is because of that stupid thing! Fucking ridiculous! If they're going to have such a dangerous thing on the grounds, they could at least take some precautions!
Of course no on is lobbying to get IT removed, because it didn't attack a stupid Slytherin so no one with any power to do anything cares. House unity, my arse.
I'm going from a run or something. Far away from that stupid tree, of course. I can't believe nothing's been done about it yet.

Shit! I was in Flourish and Blotts.. maybe an hour before all that. It could have been me.
I haven't really been keeping up with the Prophet over break as well as I should, but I was kind of starving for news, so I sent for the last few and now I almost wish I hadn't. It's very un-Lion-like of me to wish not to know bad news and want to pretend the world is alright for a little longer, isn't it?
Needless to say, I hid the thing before Mum could find it and have a fit or decide that Hogwarts isn't safe. I didn't really fancy trying to explain it all to her.
Dumbledore retiring, Death Eater's in Diagon. I don't like where this is going.

This Men of Quidditch Calendar is the most amazing thing I have ever seen. They should definitely make one every year.
Mum raised an eyebrow at me when she saw it, but I assured her it was for a good cause.

I have to say that I have mixed feelings about returning back to school. One the one hand, it will definitely be nice to see everyone again, but on the other, I am definitely going to miss my parents and brothers. It's been a fantastic summer.

I am such a rotten liar. It's been awful. Trying to sneak copies of the Prophet, wondering who else might go missing or worse. Dumbledore's retiring? And Hagrid, too? It's odd. It's terrifying. It all feels like a bad dream that can't really be happening.
